Privacy
What we keep /
Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. The game keeps your progress and nothing that identifies you.
This website
bullet-moba.com has no analytics, no ads and no cookies. Its fonts and images are served from the site itself, so opening it doesn't contact anyone else. When it shows whether the servers are online, it asks the game server for a player count and nothing more. The trailer is a YouTube video: it loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play, and from then on YouTube's privacy policy applies.
The game
The game doesn't ask for your email, your real name or any account. To keep your progress (Botcoin, upgrades, wardrobe, armour), it creates a random key the first time you play and stores it in your browser. Our server keeps your progress under a scrambled version of that key. Without the key nobody, including us, can tell whose progress it is.
- In your browser: the progress key, your player name, your settings and a copy of your progress.
- On our server: your progress under the scrambled key: Botcoin, upgrades, wardrobe, your look, kept gear and how many matches and runs you've played and won.
- While you play: the server sees your inputs and position to run the match, as every online game does, and doesn't keep them afterwards. Its log notes the player name you typed when you join a room, kept for a short time for troubleshooting.
- Benchmark: if you run the benchmark and choose to send the report, it sends your frame times and a description of your device: graphics card, processor threads, memory, browser and window size.
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes the key, and with it the link to your progress.
Hosting
The website and the game are hosted by Render in the United States. Like any web host, it may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting.
